Back to School: MDF Tapped by Bato Balani for Mobile Digital Lab Grant for Muntinlupa High School

For public schools in the country, the launch of the annual Brigada Eskwela means cleaning and painting classrooms and repairing fixtures in preparation for the upcoming school opening.

At Muntinlupa National Highschool-Tunasan Annex, the traditional Brigada Eskwela was upgraded and made “high tech” thanks to Bato Balani Foundation Inc (BBFI) and Muntinlupa Development Foundation (MDF).

Turned over during the Brigada Eskwela launch last May 15 by BBFI executives are equipment such as 40 Android tablets called YoPads, television, laptop and other equipment to be used for the school’s senior high school digital laboratory. 

Dr. Antonio B. Rocha, the principal of Muntinlupa National Highschool-Tunasan Annex, bared that a total of 700 students from Grades 11 and 12 will benefit from the grant.

Part of the package is a server and access to Genyo, an e-learning platform by Diwa Learning Systems that provides rich and engaging interactive multimedia content for the students so they can have fun while enhancing their academic performance. Teachers can also customize lessons and assessment modules to address individualized learning.

A team from Genyo also conducted an orientation program to help teachers understand and maximize the use of the system.

Through the BBEST program, Muntinlupa National High School- Tunasan Annex plus 10 other public schools in Batangas will be granted the use of E-Learning system, equipment, and content.  Their students will have the opportunity to enjoy learning with the help of a digital platform. The beneficiary schools from Batangas are: Tanauan City High School, Bernardo Lirio Memorial High School, Tinurik National High School, and Pantay National High School for Tanauan; For the Division of Batangas, San Pedro National High School,  Sta. Anastacia National High School, Sta. Maria-Balas-Buco National High School, Wenceslao Trinidad Memorial High School, and Malvar National High School; and for Lipa, Inosluban -Marawoy National High School.
